About Me
I am a freelance reporter working from Montreal, with expertise in Quebec's Arctic region called Nunavik.
The story began in 2021, when I was still an undergraduate studying journalism at Concordia University. An opportunity for me to work for Statistics Canada came during the summer. Little did I know that this opportunity would bring me to Kuujjuaraapik, Nunavik, where I was sent to gather data from every household in the community.
That summer began it all; I travelled to multiple communities during the span of a two-month trip, taking in every drop of information I could about the region.
I have since travelled to Nunavik countless times, lived in Kuujjuaq for two and a half years, wrote hundreds of articles and produced dozens of video documentaries for the likes of CTV News, La Presse, Nunatsiaq News, UpHere Magazine, Uvagut TV, CIM Magazine and Canadian Geographic.
